Continuing Professional
Development Act of 2016
At least 29 bills submitted by Congress to Malacañang have lapsed into law last month, including Republic Act No. 10912, An Act Mandating and Strengthening the Continuing Professional Development Program for All Regulated Professions, creating the Continuing Professional Development Council , and Appropriating Funds Therefor, and for other Related Purposes, otherwise known as "Continuing Professional Development Act of 2016". PRC issues Revised Guidelines on the CPD Program
Pursuant to Section 5 of Republic Act No. 8981, otherwise known as the “PRC Modernization Act of 2000”, Section 7(a) of Republic Act No. 8981 and Resolution No. 2013-774, Series of 2013 entitled “Revised Guidelines on the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program for all Registered and Licensed Professional, the Professional Regulation Commission, after a series of consultations and meetings, amended some of the provisions of the said guidelines in order to strengthen and enhance its implementation of effective August 5, 2016.
